She graduated in Physiotherapy in 2005 from the School of Health Sciences at the University of Aveiro, starting her clinical practice with a very specific focus on the management of chronic disease, getting experience in inclusive education (2005-2006), but also in private practice (2006-2008), hospital practice and in primary health care (2008-2016). She continued his academic career in 2008, entering a Master's Degree in Motor Development and starting his line of research in chronic disease, specifically in stroke. In 2010, he obtained a Ph.D. scholarship, within the scope of the doctoral program in Sciences and Technologies, specializing in Clinical Decision/FCT – SFRH/BD/74927/2010 – University of Aveiro. In parallel with her career as a researcher, she has collaborated since 2004-2005 as an Adjunct Professor in Polytechnic of Leiria, teaching at the Degree in Physiotherapy, with some interesting collaborations in Master's and Doctoral Courses related to the area. She has been publishing different high-standard scientifical articles and has been collaborating in different scientific events, specifically in the Geriatric field. She is a coordinator of AGILidades, a spin-off from Polytechnic of Leiria, which develops and validates serious games for geriatric rehabilitation. Different awards and a national patent have been reached with this recent experience in the coordination of the AGILidades project.

He has done more than 110 CME programs during the last 18 months on various COVID-related issues, that have helped more than 18,000 Drs across the country.
