I. Biography: Dr. Jagannathan Sarangapani (or S. Jagannathan) received his doctoral degree from University of Texas at Arlington in 1994. He is presently at the Missouri University of Science and Technology (former University of Missouri-Rolla) where he is a Professor and Rutledge-Emerson Endowed Chair in the Dept of Electrical and Computer Engineering with a courtesy appointment in Dept of Computer Science. He is also served as Interim Director of Intelligent Systems Center, and the Site Director for the graduated NSF Industry/University Cooperative Research Center on Intelligent Maintenance Systems for over 13 years. His research interests include learning and adaptation, deep learning based adaptive and neural network control, networked control systems/cyber physical systems, sensor networks, prognostics, and autonomous systems/robotics. He has coauthored 182 peer reviewed journal articles, 289 refereed IEEE conference articles, several book chapters and six books. He holds 21 patents. He is a Fellow of IEEE, US National Academy of Inventors, IET (UK), Institute of Measurement and Control, UK and Asia Association of Artificial Intelligence. He received NSF Career Award in 2000, Caterpillar Research Excellence Award in 2001, Boeing Pride Achievement Award in 2007, IEEE Control System Society’s Transition to Practice Award in 2018, and several Faculty Excellence and Teaching Excellence Awards at Missouri University of Science and Technology.

Professor Chenguang (Charlie) Yang is the leader of Robot Teleoperation Group of Bristol Robotics Laboratory, a Co-Chair of the Technical Committee on Bio-mechatronics and Bio-robotics Systems (B2S), IEEE Systems, Man, and Cybernetics Society, and a Co-Chair of the Technical Committee on Collaborative Automation for Flexible Manufacturing (CAFM), IEEE Robotics and Automation Society. He received PhD degree from the National University of Singapore (2010) and performed postdoctoral research at Imperial College London. He is a recipient of the prestigious IEEE Transactions on Robotics Best Paper Award (2012) and IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and Learning Systems Outstanding Paper Award (2022) as lead authors. He has been awarded EPSRC Innovation Fellowship and EU FP-7 Marie Curie International Incoming Fellowship. He is a Fellow of British Computer Society and Higher Education Academy. Fusaomi Nagata received the B.E. degree from the Department of Electronic Engineering at Kyushu Institute of Technology in 1985, and the D.E. degree from the Faculty of Engineering Systems and Technology at Saga University in 1999. He was a research engineer with Kyushu Matsushita Electric Co. from 1985 to 1988, then a special researcher with Fukuoka Industrial Technology Centre from 1988 to 2006. Then, he has been a professor at the department of mechanical engineering, faculty of engineering, Sanyo-Onoda City University, Japan. He is also a dean of the graduate school of engineering. His research interests have included intelligent control for industrial robots and its application, e.g., robot sander for sanding wood materials, mold polishing robot for polishing aluminum molds, desktop NC machine tool with compliance control capability for finishing LED lens mold, machining robot with robotic CAM system for machining foamed polystyrene materials, and 3D printer-like data interface for a machining robot, etc. From 2017, his research interest has shifted to a defect detection system using convolution neural networks (CNN), convolution auto encoder (CAE) and support vector machine (SVM). He is now developing a MATLAB application to user-friendly design CNN, CAE and SVM, which can be used without related deep expertise.
Nathan Fisher is a Project Manager, Mechanical Engineer, and Roboticist working for The Geneva Foundation as a support contractor for the US Army Medical Research and Materiel Command's (USAMRMC) Telemedicine and Advanced Technology Research Center (TATRC) since 2014. Prior to this role, Nathan worked for eight years as a Mechanical Engineer supporting the design and manufacturing of various vehicle systems, including military combat vehicles and commercial aircraft systems. Nathan's current professional focus is in the adaptation of emerging robotics technologies to provide future capabilities for combat medics in far-forward operational environments. Tiago H. Moreira de Oliveira is currently the Head of Innovation & Development at GeoGlobal, a leading company on the sector of geospatial intelligence and geographic information. For 10 years, he was the Executive Coordinator for R&D national and international Projects at NOVA Geoinformatics & Analytics Lab (NOVA IMS), participating and leading about 50 projects related with GIS & Science. His role as executive coordinator of this research department led him to participate in research and innovation projects that, for example, promote the conception, development, and implementation of GIS for management, integration, and analysis. Dr. Mishra is a Storage Software Researcher at Samsung Semiconductor, Inc. based in San Jose, CA. His primary responsibility is to innovate, design and develop state-of-the-art storage architectures for current and future needs of data centers. Dr. Mishra's work involves designing (re-designing), and developing solutions in the Linux Storage Stack for inching towards the realization of Software Defined Data Centers, while decreasing the performance mismatch between application requirements and storage device capabilities. His primary research interests lie in operating systems (Linux OS IO stack), object-storage, key-value stores, KV-SSDs, computational storage, Hadoop (HDFS) deployments, HDDs and SSD adaptations. Biography Mohd Hudzari bin Haji Razali was born on 07rd February 1974 in Muar, a small village in North of Johor, boundary neighbour with Jasin, Melaka Malaysia. He did his elementary education in his village school. He passed his secondary school certificate from High School Muar, Johor, Malaysia. He started his university education at the Universiti Pertanian Malaysia, Serdang, and Selangor, Malaysia, where he obtained a Diploma of Agriculture Engineering in 1996. He obtained his Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering in 1999 and Master of Science degree on Agriculture Automation and Robotic from Universiti Putra Malaysia at the same University on program of structure A (research basis) in 2003. In 2005, he was awarded a partial scholarship from Universiti Putra Malaysia, Serdang, Selangor, Malaysia when appointed as a Graduate Research Assistant to pursue Ph.D program at Institute of Advanced Technology, Universiti Putra Malaysia, Serdang, Selangor, Malaysia and received Ph.D on Smart Technology and Robotic Engineering in October 2010. Dariusz Jacek Jakóbczak was born in Koszalin, Poland, on December 30, 1965. He graduated in mathematics (numerical methods and programming) from the University of Gdansk, Poland in 1990. He received the Ph.D. degree in 2007 in computer science from the Polish – Japanese Institute of Information Technology, Warsaw, Poland. From 1991 to 1994 he was a civilian programmer in the High Military School in Koszalin. He was a teacher of mathematics and computer science in the Private Economic School in Koszalin from 1995 to 1999. Since March 1998 he has worked in the Department of Electronics and Computer Science, Koszalin University of Technology, Poland and since October 2007 he has been an Assistant Professor in the Chair of Computer Science and Management in this department. Wei Li received the B.Eng. degree in automation and the M.Eng. degree in control science and engineering from the Harbin Institute of Technology, China, in 2009 and 2011, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree from the University of Sheffield, U.K., in 2016. He is currently a Research Associate at the University of York, UK. He has published more than 30 academic articles in peer-reviewed journals and conferences, such as the IEEE Transactions on Robotics and NeurIPS. From August 2015 to October 2016 She was a research fellow in School of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore where she worked on Development of NTU/NXP- Intelligent Transport Systems Test-Bed. Her research interests are centralized and distributed localization and tracking algorithms in sensor and vehicular networks, sensor fusion, optimization theory, estimation theory, nonlinear signal processing and navigation systems.
