About The Conference

Energy is a key factor in every walk of modern society and our thirst for energy has been increasing for generations: where do we get it from, how do we use it, and is there enough of it for what we want? Demand for energy is increasing rapidly since last three decades and world’s major energy consumption depends on fossil fuels. World energy consumption was increasing at about 2.3% per year and fossil fuels play a dominant role as about 82% of world’s primary energy from fossil fuels. Realizing the fact that the fossil fuels will be depleted because of increasing demand and its environmental concerns, the global community mulls its attention more towards Renewable Energy in recent years. Based on REN21's report, renewables contributed 19.3% to world’s global energy consumption and 24.5% to their generation of electricity in 2015 and 2016, respectively.

Most of the countries recognized the significance of Renewable Energy where the use of energy meets the needs of present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. Rapid deployment of renewable energy is being occurred throughout the world which will be resulting in significant energy security, climate change mitigation, and economic benefits.

The renewable power sector shown remarkable growth for last couple of years especially Solar and Wind Power, while other renewable sectors Transport, Heating and Cooling sectors continues to lag behind. Positive Developments such as increase in renewable power capacity, falling costs, increases in investment and advances in enabling technologies show that the renewable energy transition is possible, but advances so far are uneven across sectors. Tackling the challenges that constraining the rapid growth of renewable energy is an essential part of many fields of research and is the focus of multibillion dollar global industries.

Thus, the objective of International Conference on Renewable Energy and Energy Management (REEM-2019) is to facilitate knowledge exchange through the collection of comprehensive and timely information on renewable energy, from the generation and storage of energy, to its distribution and management, the needs and demands of the different actors, and the impacts that energy technologies and policies have on societies.

REEM-2019 brings together Research and Academic Institutions, International Organizations and industry to learn from one another build on success that advance renewable energy. This conference provides a platform to discuss diverse viewpoints from the wide range of key scholars, serving to dispel myths about renewable energy and to catalyze the global transition of renewable energy.
